As first time sellers and original owners of our 33 year old Westmont home, Kim coached us every step of the way on this roller coaster ride from marketing, staging, and showing our home to negotiating with prospective buyers and providing quality referrals for contractors, title companies and closing lawyers—all of whom delivered on time on all promises made. She’s a busy gal (that’s a good thing) who knows how to prioritize and juggle multiple clients, yet leaves no detail unattended. I was trying to sell my mother's house in 2010, and the realtor I was working with did next to nothing to have it shown. So after three months I called Kim after seeing her ad in a local paper. We got together, went thru the house, Kim kindly pointed out a few minor changes that she would like to see changed. I liked her immediately, an extremely positive woman, who was gently honest about what would be the best way to show a house. Kim had a buyer in one week! So when it came time for me to sell my house, naturally I called Kim, she came over that afternoon and we talked about what she wanted to see changed for best showing, again, all minor things that made the property more appealing. She brought in a professional photographer to take pictures and, after seeing the pictures I was not so certain I wanted to give up the house, they were beautiful! Kim suggested a dollar amount for sale, showing comparison prices not only for my town, but the surrounding villages as well. We agreed and the house was on the market. After two offers, the third one was the charm. I agreed on a price and closed on the house 5 weeks later. From listing to sale, two weeks. It was a difficult experience due to the appraiser's report that the townhome area where I was selling was NOW in a decline and thus my home would not meet the offered price by several thousands of dollars. Although this was not my realtors fault it does suggest some lack of general market knowledge . These issues make for a highly emotional and a generally stressful process. My realtor stepped up at the end when another potential crisis arose and was able to solve the problem.
